It's hard to believe the
first half of 2018 has already come and gone!
I thought it would be helpful to see how the first half of 2018 compared to the same time frame in 2017.
The Baldwin County housing market — and national housing market for that matter — continues to speed up, and we better be ready for the ride.
Overall the real estate market is very strong. Prices are holding steady and
days on the market have declined
. The total number of home sold in 2018 is down a surprising 2% vs. 2017. That number is a reflection of the limited number of homes available for sale - and
June total sales PRICE increased 6% this year
, $292,680 from $277,156 in June 2017. Buyer demand is expected to remain high and properly priced homes should continue to sell in record time.

Baldwin housing report mimics the national housing shortage.
Home sales prices are expected to continue their upward climb throughout the remaining Summer as inventory levels are likely to repeat the declines that were seen during the Spring.
